Strolling is Not Playing, But You Can Set Yourself Some Rules
From Calling Points to Drawing Dots

This article revisits a teaching experiment devised and implemented by Héloïse Lauraire and Alain Roger. They are art teachers in a preparatory class for the Grandes Écoles de Paysage (landscape higher education schools) at the Lycée des Métiers de l'Horticulture et du Paysage Jeanne Baret (Montreuil, France) and lecturers in a master's degree in geography at the Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (Villetaneuse, France). The aim of their teaching project is to introduce geography students to the aesthetic practice of walking and its graphic translation. For the aesthetic dimension of walking to be achieved, a set of rules must first be establishedReferences
